Mr. Jackson served as principal of two previous firms before starting B&E Jackson & Association in 1988. He is a former Vice President of ACEC, Georgia and 1997 Engineer of the Year. In 2002, the Georgia Engineering Alliance awarded Mr. Jackson a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to the engineering profession. He was selected NSBE entrepreneur of the year for 2007. 

A pilot since he was 37, Mr. Jackson also enjoys tennis, golf, football, track and field, basketball, baseball and swimming.
